Fine Art Language

Writer's picture: Kathy RowanKathy Rowan

At the start of the module 'Developing a Fine Art Language' we were encouraged to complete a questionnaire which I am now reflecting upon and thought I'd share with you.  It is the framework that my emerging fine art identity is based upon. This was a helpful tool in helping me clarify my thoughts and express who I am, what I'm currently working on and what I'm trying to achieve as an Artist.

What and who is inspiring your visual art practice?

I am inspired by feminist spirituality, paganism, goddess worship and I'm currently working with/on the Palaeolithic Bee Goddess, Melissa.  I am investigating melted wax fine art techniques to link concept and medium.  I am also interested in incorporating the language of flowers and wild flowers.
