I started with my stone circle watercolour painting which I created from a photo I took of Birkrigg stone circle in Ulverston.

I edited it to size.

Then added an effect to make it more atmospheric.

I then uploaded a charcoal drawing of mine, a mixed media piece onto Photoshop.

Then I cut the main figure out and erased most of the surrounding scene, editing down to size.

Then I layered this charcoal drawing of the cloaked woman on top of my stone circle image.  I maneuvered it until I was happy with the image and used the cloning tool to help it blend the edges into place.

Then I uploaded the image onto my phone and added three effects using Pixaloop. The bats flying (which I positioned so they would fly across the Moon) as both the bats and the Moon are symbols of the Goddess Hecate. Then the snowy effect and finally I added a little colour to the scene which I thought made it look more magical and appealing.

Review

This final short video combines elements from two of my favourite artworks and creates a new moving image.  I found it very satisfying to make and will find these skills very useful in the future and make them part of my practice.
