Happy Samhain!

Samhain is the Witchy new year, commonly known as Halloween when in olden days the old year would end and the new year begin. Between the old and new year was a magical time when the living could communicate with their ancestors and Witches could glimpse forward into the future. At this time (midnight on 31st October) the veil between the words is at it's thinnest and Witches still gather to celebrate this special festival. It is the time of Scorpio, the sign of the zodiac that rules all things magical and mysterious. It is a wonderful witchy time of year!!

This Saturday there is going to be a DAY OF MYSTERIES AND MAGIC at the Swarthmore Centre in Leeds, LS3 1AD. The event celebrates 30 years of the Wakefield Pagan moot and has a special treat for us in store, there will be a special exhibition of items from The Centre for Pagan Studies relating to GERALD GARDNER and DOREEN VALIENTE. (for the first time in the North of England).

Speakers include Phil Heselton, Ashley Mortimer and Richard Freeman. Come listen to talks, take part in workshops and treat yourself to some amazing witchy goodies from the stalls - it's sure to be a wonderful day out!

I will be there leading a workshop, helping people to make simple God and Goddesses for their altars with pebbles, paint and imagination and I will also be selling my own handmade paintings, jewelry and guided meditation CDs. Do come join us, and please come say hello! )0(
