ABOUT THE ARTWORK ABOVE
Inspired by the Roman Goddess of love and sharing, this artwork was created using traditional (drawing) and digital technology. The beautiful pink roses are from a photograph taken by Kathy during the summer 2019. The flowers and figure have been digitally manipulated to create this piece.
The roses are symbolic of love and romance, pink represents love and sharing. The emerald green leaves have connotations of wealth, nature and tranquility in Western Society. It is also the colour of the heart chakra.

The figure drawn in the foreground to represent the Goddess Venus was based on a model called Christabel Leighton-Porter (1913 - 2000). She was famous, as the model for the erotic comic 'Jane'. Created by the Illustrator Norman Pett (1891 - 1960). .
